Delegation to Singapore: Fostering Innovation and Partnerships
Singapore has recently attracted significant attention as the largest startup hub in Southeast Asia.
Under government leadership, a robust ecosystem supporting entrepreneurship has been established, making it one of the most well-developed environments for startups in the region. The country is also home to world-renowned institutions such as the National University of Singapore (NUS), along with numerous research and development (R&D) centers led by both public and private sectors. According to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Singapore rose to 4th place in the Global Innovation Index in 2024, further strengthening its competitiveness as an innovation hub. Many multinational companies, including Japanese companies, are also enhancing their collaboration with startups and domestic R&D facilities based in Singapore.
To support startups from Saitama City and to promote collaboration among local small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are embracing new technologies and taking on new business challenges, Saitama City Foundation for Business Creation (SFBC) will organize a delegation to Singapore from October 29 to 31, 2025. The purpose of this delegation is to explore potential opportunities and to build networks with partner organizations.
